Full-Time Salary: $80,000 – $110,000 per year Position Overview
AppleOne is recruiting a Grower Accountant to manage financial
activity related to both company owned orchards and external grower
accounts. This role ensures accurate cost tracking, timely grower
settlements, and clear financial visibility across all farming
operations. The ideal candidate brings strong agricultural
accounting experience, excellent analytical skills, and the ability
to partner closely with operations leadership. Key Responsibilities
• Grower Accounting Management: Maintain detailed accounting
records for internal and external growers, including crop costs,
allocations, and revenue tracking. • Crop Cost Analysis: Prepare
cost-per-acre and cost-per pound analysis for figs, pistachios,
almonds, and other specialty crops. • Grower Statements &
Settlements: Produce accurate monthly and annual grower statements,
ensuring transparency and timely payments. • Budgeting &
Forecasting: Support annual budgets, crop forecasts, and financial
modeling for orchard operations. • AP/AR Oversight: Review vendor
invoices, verify coding to correct ranches/blocks, and reconcile
grower receivables. • Inventory & Harvest Accounting: Track harvest
yields, processing charges, and inventory movements through packers
and processors. • Regulatory & Compliance Support: Assist with
audits, crop insurance documentation, and compliance reporting. •
Cross Functional Collaboration: Work closely with farm managers,
operations teams, and leadership to ensure financial accuracy and
operational alignment. Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree in
Accounting, Finance, or Agribusiness; CPA or CMA a plus. • 3–5
years of agricultural accounting experience, ideally with permanent
crops. • Strong understanding of cost accounting, crop cycles, and
ag specific financial workflows. • Proficiency in Ag Accounting
Systems (e.g., Famous, AgCode, Redline, or similar). • Advanced
Excel and data analysis skills. • Excellent communication and
organizational abilities. • Ability to maintain confidentiality in
a fast paced, privately held environment. What Makes This Role
