Essential Functions include: Lift/carry children up to 30 lbs Emergency evacuation response Frequent standing, bending, kneeling Maintaining staff-to-child ratios Compliance with CA licensing These functions are essential due to safety and licensing requirements. Qualifications MUST BE FULLY VACCINATED 12 or more core units in Early Childhood Education Required. Work experience in a licensed child care facility as a preschool or prekindergarten teacher. Must meet basic requirements of local child care regulatory agency including finger-printing and background check Proficient computer and internet skills Knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children Pleasant/friendly demeanor and an outgoing personality Highly professional and dependable Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress Strong organization skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment Must be able to lift up 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
