time/Union position Hedrick’s Chevrolet is looking for an Auto
Technician! As an Automotive Technician (Automotive Mechanic) you
will need to identify the cause of breakdowns and repair them using
the most optimal solutions. Hedrick’s Chevrolet Service Department
is a clean, safe and up to date facility. The jobs are challenging
and extensive training is available, and required. Job
Responsibilities: Discuss with service advisors to obtain
descriptions of vehicle problems, and to discuss work to be
performed and future repair requirements. Test-drive vehicles, and
test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special
service equipment. Perform quality inspections of vehicle repairs
prior to returning the vehicle to the customer Diagnose, maintain,
and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine,
transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air
conditioning, etc Communicate directly with the service advisor so
that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed.
Providing an estimate of parts needed for repairs. Execute repairs
under warranty to manufacturer specifications. Perform other duties
as assigned Job Requirements As an Automotive Technician
(Automotive Mechanic), you will be experienced and aware of the
latest automotive technologies and be a persistent problem solver.

exemplary customer service Must have GM experience as an automotive
technician National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence
(ASE) certifications strongly preferred Must have working knowledge
of shop equipment such as diagnostic equipment, and AC equipment,
etc.) Must have a valid driver’s license Must have your own tools
