Engineer POSTING DATED: June 04, 2024 PAY RANGE: $72.93 per hour -
(Local 39- Salary Schedule) Position Overview The Maintenance
Engineer position offers an opportunity to work with
state-of-the-art equipment in a well-managed environment that is
exciting and challenging. The engineer functions as part of a
maintenance team responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient
day-to-day operations of a world class entertainment facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Monitors, troubleshoots and
repairs a variety of equipment. Takes temperature and humidity
readings and performs consumption calculations. Assists in the
operation of plant utilities to ensure peak efficiency and
reliability of gas, electrical, chilled brine, and hot water
plants. Ensures various equipment is maintained and operated in a
safe efficient manner. Responsible for HVAC, lighting, boiler,
heaters, fire life safety equipment, and other equipment including
trash compactors and commercial kitchen equipment. Performs
preventive/reoccurring maintenance on equipment. Identifies
defective parts, researches replacement parts, deals with vendors
while ordering parts and installs parts upon arrival. Answer
service calls, and deal with internal & external customers. Minimum
Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years maintenance Engineering
experience, 4 years education or equivalent combination of both.
Plumbing experience is required. Required to work independently for
most of the time, must be a self-starter. Requires large tonnage
refrigeration experience and a universal CFC license. Heavy
electrical experience (277v 480v) and Direct Digital Controls (DDC)
experience with standard industry equipment. Experience in
maintaining large & small boilers, pumps, refrigeration equipment,
air compressors and secondary systems is required. Experience in
maintaining all natural and manufactured gas distribution lines.
Considerable knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems with
the ability to analyze their design intent and performance.
Knowledge of all types of motors and engines used to power pumps,
compressors, and fans. Knowledge of construction and building
systems. Experience repairing locks and re-keying preferred. Must
have experience with water filters, piping, and pumps. General
maintenance of water heaters, washing machines, and dryers.
Knowledge of building and maintaining automation systems for HVAC.
Carpentry and electrical experience are required. Must be able to
read and interpret manufacturer's instructions, blueprints, and
schematics and to determine wire colors to perform safe repairs.
Experience with fire alarm and fire suppression systems. Must be
able to perform general maintenance on elevators, forklifts, and
vehicles. Knowledge and experience working on audio-visual and
media presentation systems. Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook
software applications. Excellent customer service skills required.
Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff,
vendors, and guests. Must possess a valid California driver's
license. Requires finger and hand dexterity to manipulate switches
and buttons. Maintenance Engineer's Basic Tools are required, see

File, 12" Diagonal Cutters Physical Requirements: This role entails
various physical demands, including stooping, crouching, reaching,
pushing, pulling, and lifting, with or without accommodation.
Ability to navigate stairs and catwalks at SSE facilities during
both regular work hours and events, with or without accommodation.
Capability to climb ladders or utilize a man lift to work at
heights up to 100 feet, often requiring reaching overhead, with or
without accommodation. Must be able to bend at the waist, reach
overhead, and lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs, with or without
accommodation. Must be able to perform duties in a confined space
