Job Description:
A Customer Account Manager is an experienced ag professional who
will put to use their knowledge in crop production and fertilizer
consulting to create customized solutions for growers. -Who We
AreCalifornia Ag Solutions (CAS) is a diverse plant nutrition
company located in Madera, California. CAS has been serving the
Central Valley between Stockton and Bakersfield since 2004. CAS
develops customized nutrition and irrigation plans to maximize
grower profitability and whole farm efficiency. CAS sells plant
nutrition products as well and rents specialized implements for
various field operations that will improve soil health. CAS is
growing our sales and has an immediate opening for an experienced
ag professional with experience in crop production, fertilizer
consulting, and who has a desire to create customized solutions for
growers. The crops that we work with are almonds, pistachios, corn,
alfalfa hay, processing tomatoes, dairy forage crops. Please review

Professional Experience -
- Must posses a 4 year college degree, preferably in an
agriculturally related major
- Must have minimum 5 years professional ag production related
sales experience
- Preferable to have some first hand farm production
experience
- Preferable to have either a CCA or similar crop consulting
credential
- Must have a valid California Driver's licenseJob experience
- Field crop and tree crop production knowledge
- Irrigation management understanding - application/soil moisture
probes/scheduling
- Fertilizer and soil amendment knowledge - /nutrient
cycling/basic timing/types
- Basic mechanical experience
- Fertilizer application understanding
- Customer service oriented selling approach
- Basic knowledge of soil health principles and techniques
- Computer literate
- Identifying, qualifying, and developing new grower
accounts
- Willingness to be innovative and to learn about new techniques
and new approaches
- Experience with specialized fertilizer products, micronutrients
and bio stimulantsPersonal Qualities

- Must be a people person - have desire to build solid and
lasting relationships with growers
- Have the ability to work with several crops at the same time -
must be a multi-tasker
- Have the ability to identify problems and develop creative
solutions for growers

teammates for help
- Be creative - willingness to think outside of the box to solve
problems
- Ability to ask meaningful and probing questions to fully
understand customers issues
- Be self motivated - you will be responsible for building a
customer base

you
- Possess a sense of urgency in getting things done, in follow
up, in helping customers

improve your growers

allow them to grasp concepts
- Be an excellent communicator - both written and oral, ability
to speak in front of crowds.

prepared to learn from failures
- BE OPEN MINDED - be willing to learn, ask questions, give
feedbackTravelSalesmen are required to make several overnight trips
