Overview:As the RN Manager for Pediatrics and the Pediatric ICU, you will be integral to our goal to take a family centered care approach, providing the best care possible for both the patient and their families. In the Pediatric and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, the patients receive care for a variety of life-threatening medical and surgical conditions.You will be accountable for the direction, supervision and evaluation of patient care performed by the patient care team. You are someone who pays close attention to detail and can bring hands-on leadership and expertise into these close-knit 10 PICU and 11 Peds bed units. Growth.In this role, you will:Oversee personnel, fiscal and materiel management, and coordination of the quality improvement for the PICU.Be responsible for unit operation, scheduling, position control, staffing and coordination of the quality improvement process.Apply advanced, broad-based knowledge of nursing practice and theory as well as advanced knowledge of techniques of supervision, management, and leadership as applied to specific nursing responsibilities.Provide empathetic care and support to patients, families, and fellow team members.Utilize affective communication and organization.Qualifications:Current State of California Registered Nurse license required.BSN and either a master's degree in related field or certification in health care administration from a nationally recognized accrediting organization required.BLS, current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required.3-5+ years relevant experience in clinical nursing setting, one of which should be in pediatric critical care nursing required.Previous leadership experience in the healthcare industry or healthcare setting required.Please note: Per the CDPH order, all healthcare workers are required to be vaccinated for COVID-19 or have an approved exemption and test regularly.Please note: If any bonuses are noted, they are only applicable to external hires.
