Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Wound Care
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience:
Minimum 2 years License: Valid RN License Certifications: BLS,
Wound Care Certified or CWON Must-Have: - Valid RN License - BLS -
Wound Care Certified or CWON Description: Conduct patient
assessments for wound care services based on patient age, needs,
and changes in condition. Collaborate and communicate with
physicians and other healthcare team members to interpret, adjust,
and coordinate the daily patient care plan. Ensure continuity of
care with a patient-centric approach. Partner with peers and other
healthcare providers to optimize patient workflow and improve
outcomes. Provide competent and compassionate patient care in
accordance with evidence-based nursing practices and standards.
Maintain a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for
patients and their families. Delegate tasks appropriately to team
members based on their capabilities. Communicate clearly with
patients and their families regarding treatments and activities,
ensuring understanding through teach-back methods. Deliver safe and
effective patient care in compliance with established standards and
regulations. Uphold confidentiality of patient protected health
information. Stay current with advancements and best practices in
wound care and nursing. Participate in facility and unit process
improvement activities. Monitor patient care interventions and
evaluate treatment outcomes. Conduct ongoing education for patients
and families to ensure optimal care from admission through
transitions of care. Document patient responses to care plans and
adjust them as needed. Report safety or compliance concerns as
required. Participate in safety event analysis to prevent future
occurrences. Accurately document all treatment information in
electronic health records. Develop and implement formal teaching
and transition plans involving patients and families in care for
identified health needs. Graduate of an accredited school of
