Job Description:
Job Opportunity: Physician - Hospitalist - OB Join a growing
medical group in sunny California as a Board Certified Obstetrics
and Gynecology Physician. Enjoy the benefits of working in a
supportive Level 2 NICU hospital environment where you can provide
comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care. The facility is known
for its advanced EPIC electronic medical records system and a
multidisciplinary team dedicated to exceptional patient outcomes.
Job Responsibilities: Provide expert inpatient obstetrical care in
a busy hospital with a Level 2 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Work
in a collaborative hospital environment committed to delivering
high-quality obstetrical care. Cares for approximately 13-14
patients daily across inpatient, outpatient, and clinic settings.
Utilize the EPIC electronic medical record system for patient
documentation and care management. Maintain a schedule of five to
six 24-hour shifts per month (7 AM to 7 AM). Weekend shifts are
required and follow the same 24-hour schedule as weekdays. No
on-call responsibilities are associated with this position. Manage
an average of 4-5 deliveries per 24-hour period, with the majority
being vaginal deliveries. Ensure compliance with COVID-19
vaccination requirements as per facility guidelines. Options to
work as a 1099 independent contractor are available.
Qualifications: Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Active California medical license or an application in progress.
Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced
Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Drug Enforcement
Administration (DEA) licenses. Delivery experience is mandatory;
preferred candidates will have 1-5 years of relevant practice
experience. New graduates or those who are board eligible but not
yet certified are not eligible. Candidates with a history of
malpractice or licensing issues may be considered on a case-by-case
basis. Must not have applied directly for the position. License and
