covered Key Responsibilities of an Behavioral Health Nurse: Provide
direct nursing care to patients with behavioral health and
psychiatric needs. Conduct patient assessments, including mental
status evaluations and risk assessments. Administer medications,
monitor effectiveness, and manage side effects. Collaborate with
physicians, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare
professionals to develop and implement care plans. Use
de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention skills as needed.
Educate patients and families about treatment plans, medications,
and coping strategies. Maintain accurate and timely documentation
of patient care and progress. Uphold patient safety,
confidentiality, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Requirements: Active California RN license Current BLS
certification Minimum of 2 years' recent experience in a Behavioral
Health setting Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
