Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Physical Therapist Discipline: Therapy Start Date: ASAP Duration: 26 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a home health role serving multiple Northern California counties, requiring at least 1 year of home health experience and a valid state PT license. Responsibilities Home health setting serving regions including Sonoma, Marin, Contra Costa, Alameda, Santa Clara, San Joaquin/Stanislaus, and Sacramento counties Patient caseload is based on a minimum of 23-24 visits per week, with patient care prioritized over visit quotas Typical schedule is Monday through Friday, day shift from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm No weekend shifts required No regular on-call required; may be discretionary but not expected Use of Kinnser/Wellsky for electronic charting, with all charting required to be completed during clinic hours Mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate from first to last patient Must have flexibility to cover primary and potentially surrounding counties as assigned Responsibilities include providing physical therapy services to homebound geriatric and wound care patients Must complete all charting in clinic with company-provided tablet; taking work home is not permitted First-time travelers are welcome to apply Dress code is any color scrubs with closed-toe shoes Free residential parking is provided at work locations COVID vaccination is required unless declining for religious reasons; flu vaccination can be declined with appropriate documentation All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application and will not be accepted after offer Contract durations range from 4-6 months, with a 6-month minimum for less experienced clinicians Local candidates are accepted within a 50-mile radius Requirements Minimum 1 year of home health experience and at least 2 years overall as a clinician required Current state PT license required and must be in good standing with no hits; license required if applicable BLS certification required OASIS documentation experience preferred Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with active insurance Must be punctual, self-motivated, and patient-focused Experience with Kinnser/Wellsky EMR is required or must be willing to learn All required documents must be completed and on file before patient care can begin Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-633285.
