Clinician II (437) Visalia, CA The Clinician II is a licensed
mental health professional who provides direct mental health
services to consumers, including diagnostic evaluations,
assessments, treatment planning, and psychotherapy, under the
supervision of the Clinical Supervisor. As an experienced
clinician, this role differs from Clinician I by requiring the
candidate to have passed the licensing exam and received licensure
from the governing board. The Clinician II serves as a liaison
between Kings View (KV) and community partners and plays a key role
in supervising unlicensed staff and maintaining high standards of
clinical care. How will I contribute Provide diagnostic
evaluations, assessments, treatment planning, and psychotherapy to
consumers. Utilize various therapeutic modalities to support
diverse consumer needs. Deliver direct mental health services under
the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor/Manager. Maintain clear,
accurate, and concise consumer records, ensuring documentation is
completed on the same day as the service 80% of the time. Ensure
adherence to a 70% productivity goal, meeting service delivery and
documentation expectations. Complete all service information in the
County HHSA Management Information System by entering Electronic
Service Activity Logs (ESALs) at the end of each shift. Approve and
review daily documentation for unlicensed staff, ensuring
compliance with organizational and county standards. Assist with
supervising unlicensed staff, providing guidance, clinical
consultation, and mentorship to help them develop their skills.
Support the Clinical Supervisor/Manager in providing supervision to
the clinical team, as required. Serve as an effective liaison
between Kings View and community partners, facilitating
collaboration and professional relationships. Provide professional
linkage and consultation with external entities, ensuring seamless
service delivery and continuity of care for consumers. Assist the
Clinical Supervisor/Manager and Regional Director with various
tasks, including preparing reports and supporting clinical program
development. Participate in team meetings, case discussions, and
planning sessions to enhance service delivery and treatment
outcomes. Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall
functioning and success of the program. May encounter risk of
working with persons with SMI (serious mental illness) that may
include, but not limited to persons in mental health crisis,
persons that may be intoxicated or impaired by drugs or alcohol,
persons who may be DTO (danger to others), DTS (Danger to Self), or
GD (Gravely Disabled). If such situations arise, staff will be
required to call local emergency personnel to help deescalate the
crisis, use crisis intervention techniques, and consult with
supervisor as soon as practically possible. What I bring Master's
degree: Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
Current Licensure LCSW, LMFT, LPCC. Must have a National Provider
Identification (NPI) number or obtain an NPI number prior to start
date. 2 years of experience in a clinical mental health setting,
with experience in diagnostic evaluation, treatment planning, and
psychotherapy. Class C Driving License EHR experience and
proficient in computer skills, knowledgeable regarding outcomes
measures, breadth of knowledge encompassing various and diverse
psychological interventions and theories, competency in adhering to
budget. Ability to organize tasks efficiently, manage time
effectively, and communicate clearly. The role requires operating
office equipment, learning new software quickly, and maintaining
attention to detail in all tasks. Adaptability to new technologies
and handling basic administrative functions with minimal
supervision are also important. May require the ability to obtain
credentialing through the local County Managed Care Department.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively
with diverse teams. Detail-oriented, organized, and reliable.
Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude are essential
for assisting with various tasks. Flexibility, a willingness to
learn, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities are
important characteristics for success in the role. Bilingual
