The Wonderful Total Rewards’ Benefits Team is looking for a
Benefits Analyst to join our team. This individual will support the
day-to-day operations of group benefits programs (medical, dental,
vision, life insurance, flexible spending plan, wellness programs,
etc.). The Benefits Analyst is responsible for the administration,
analysis, and ongoing support of the company’s employee benefits
programs, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a positive employee
experience. This role partners closely with vendors, internal
stakeholders, and the broker team to ensure benefits data
integrity, regulatory compliance, and the smooth execution of
benefits processes throughout the year. The analyst audits and
manages benefits systems and vendor files, prepares reporting, and
supports financial management and analysis to inform benefits
strategy and decision-making. The Benefits Analyst also supports
process improvement initiatives and plays a key role in maintaining
compliance and overall operational effectiveness of the benefits
function. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and
enjoys understanding and resolving complex issues by partnering
with internal teams and external vendors. Success in this role
requires the ability to manage multiple priorities, think
critically, and approach problems with curiosity and persistence.
This position will be based at our Delano, CA office. We work a
hybrid schedule with an in-office requirement Monday-Wednesday and
the option to work remotely on Thursday and Friday. Job Description
Ensure the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS by
performing regular quality checks of benefits-related data to
provide vendors with accurate eligibility information. Identify,
troubleshoot, and resolve problems in HRIS related to benefits.
Collaborate with Payroll, HRIS, and other teams when necessary to
troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies and cross-system issues.
Prepare necessary reports for allocation/billing charges. Reconcile
benefit invoices and process payments across a variety of benefit
vendors and plans. Assist with creating and maintaining Plan
Documents (policies, SPDs, SBCs, Benefit Summaries, etc.). Manage
ACA eligibility at monthly new hire, newly eligible, and annual
standard measurement periods, report changes, notify HR and
membership of changes. Maintain compliance related to federal,
state, and regional requirements and liability (i.e. 5500, NDT,
PCORI, 1094/5-Cs filings, state filings, NQTL, etc.). Support daily
benefits processing, new hire enrollments, COBRA, terminations,
changes, beneficiaries, disability, etc. Respond to benefits
inquiries on plan provisions, claim issues, benefits enrollments,
status changes and other general inquiries. Assists with the open
enrollment administrative processes. Support benefits outreach
functions, as needed. Document and maintain administrative
procedures for assigned benefit processes and assist with
developing processes and procedures to drive department
efficiencies. Some travel may be required, as needed. Pay Range:
$70,000 - $80,000 and may include a discretionary bonus. Final
compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business
Administration, or related field (preferred) Minimum 3 years of
experience in an analytical role, benefits and HR related preferred
Experience in large (1000 employees), complex organizations
preferred Knowledge and experience with HR software applications
(UKG and PlanSource preferred) Proven analytical, problem-solving,
and project management skills Proficient in Microsoft Office
(Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint) Strong attention to detail,
organizational skills, and time management Excellent written and
verbal communication skills High level of discretion and respect
for confidentiality Capability to exercise sound judgment and work
well under pressure to effectively manage priorities and meet
timelines and deliverables Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic
environment Problem solver Process-oriented Bilingual in Spanish is
