Summary

Under general supervision participates in the monitoring of and the accurate collection of vineyard performance and laboratory data ensuring that the company's level of product quality and operational performance is being met.

Essential Functions

Minimum Qualifications

* High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate. * Minimum 18 years of age. * Required to work any shift and work overtime when required. * Required to lift up to 80 lbs. * Candidates for this position must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record. Required to obtain a California driver's license or appropriate state driver's license within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

* Bilingual in English and Spanish. * Prior grape harvest experience to include scouting vineyards, collecting vineyard/soil samples or collecting vineyard data. * Participation in college level courses. * Knowledge of Agronomy. * Knowledge of cultural techniques for wine grape growing including: leafing, shoot positioning, suckering, pruning and harvest. * Skilled in undertaking results oriented tasks. * Knowledge of basic farm equipment operations and management practices. * Skilled in the use of MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and MS Access at a basic level. * Skilled in the use of Agcode software program. * Experience with pest monitoring. * Experience preparing routine written business reports and communications. * Experience working independently with a level of integrity and initiative. * Experience collaborating and working with others effectively. * Experience with problem solving. * Skilled in time management and planning.
