Job Description:
Genetic Counselor - GeneticsSUMMARY: This position is
accountable for counseling and case management of prenatal, medical
genetic and metabolic genetic patients.Serves as a liaison between
the patient, primary care provider, community agencies and the
department, eliciting and providing medical and genetic information
in collaboration with the Geneticist and provide psychosocial
support. Works with Hospital leadership to ensure operational
effectiveness and market development. Travel is required to
satellite clinics.REQUIREMENTS:Master's Degree in Genetic
Counseling.Current Certified Diplomate of the American Board of
Genetic Counseling or Active Candidate Status as designated by the
American Board of Genetic Counseling.Minimum of 1-2 years
experience in applicable medical genetics setting desired.Bilingual
skills desirable.Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days
of hire or transfer into position.POSITION DETAILS:Full time, 80
hours per pay period. Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.PAY RANGE:
$40.85-$64.00LOCATION: Madera, CA
