This experienced Heavy Civil Engineering Construction Project Manager will manage and oversee the planning, coordination, and construction of heavy civil engineering construction land development projects by performing the following duties. HEAVY CIVIL ENGINEERING CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Prepares and monitors heavy civil engineering construction project budgets. - Responsible for heavy civil engineering construction project schedules and timely completion of projects. - Serves as a heavy civil engineering construction project engineer and as a designated client contact when necessary. - Assists in the coordination of heavy civil construction contractors, inspectors, testing firms and regulatory agencies for proposed heavy civil engineering construction projects. - Assists in the preparation of payment vouchers, submittal reviews and regulatory reports for heavy civil engineering construction projects. - Prepares computations and quantity estimates. - Develops probable heavy civil engineering construction cost estimates for his/her projects. - Attends client meetings - Responsible for control of work-in-process, ensures accurate client billings, and monitors outstanding accounts receivable and collection efforts on his/her heavy civil engineering construction projects. - Analyzes reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, tests, and aerial photographs on soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and other topographical and geologic data to plan heavy civil engineering construction projects. - May direct and supervise other activities. - Handles routine contract administration. - Prepares or modifies reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, and designs for heavy civil engineering construction project. - Visits heavy civil engineering construction site to monitor progress and deal with issues multiple times per day. - Serves as onsite project representative. - Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare heavy civil engineering construction documents. ESSENTIAL HEAVEY CIVIL ENGINEERING CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED: - The successful Heavy Civil Engineering Construction Project Manager will be able to perform each essential job responsibility above at a satisfactory level. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for this role. - Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college or university and a minimum of (8) eight years experience with heavy civil construction or the equivalent thereof. - Professional Licensed Engineer (PE) in the State of California (Preferred but not required) - Must have a Valid Drivers License - Must have considerable to significant Heavy Civil Engineering Construction Project Management experience pertaining to civil engineering land development projects. (residential subdivision or commercial site development project experience is preferred) - Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry, trigonometry and financial functions. - Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. - Candidates local to the Fresno California area will receive priority hiring consideration. But we are also open to applicants that are ready and willing to relocate to the Fresno, CA area. Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. without employee sponsorship and/or Visa transfer.
